Even though this move to Williamsburg & Joe's new job has been pretty good, he has still been traveling a lot! He will be gone for 6 different trips all within 4 months. Luckily some are only hours away, but some are across the world. Thankfully Joe's parents & my mom have visited. Here are some photos from their last visit. Looking forward to see my mom again this Saturday for 2 days, and then I really need to find a babysitter! Teaching yoga is going well. I really do love it.
Black Spiderman striking a pose, or showing a move Red Spiderman at the park with Abuela and climbing with Big Papa Colonial Williamsburg... Grammy came to visit too They baked cupcakes and played all day
for the lack of blogging on my part. I tend to gravitate toward facebook when having a free minute to mindlessly surf. But as promised, I had to update on the new place. Although we didn't end up where we thought we wanted to be, our current place seems to be a perfect fit. And things keep getting better for me on a personal note. Yes, I typed that out loud without knocking on wood. I'm already teaching at a local yoga/pilates studio, just found out my neighbor has connections at an art gallery to show my work and drawing classes that I could take, and got a letter today soliciting for yoga teachers at the "premier yoga studio". So, it looks like Williamsburg will be great for nurturing my soul. Guess I just need a perfect babysitter to land on my doorstep next. Remember, the answer is not how, it is simply yes. Robin is sitting at the computer in this photo of the kitchen. Living/Dining room shots. Notice: barely anything on the walls. Sure, we've been here one month, but still have things to hang up, a garage to overhaul, and a few rubbermaid totes and boxes to put somewhere. I know, the garage I guess. I'll submit to the fact that the car might not go in, but I still want to set up a gym in there! Elliptical at least. Children's Museum of Richmond, I love you. Joe was in Richmond for work last week, so we headed up there on Thursday to see him and then continue on to DC to see Amy, Tom, & Erica. On Friday, I took Robin to the Children's museum. I highly recommend. I've been to a few, but this one is my favorite so far. Lots of pics of the busy bee exploring. Unfortunately my camera battery died half way through our museum trip. So, no outside water photos or ANY of our trip to DC. Here in Williamsburg at one of the local parks... Kyle met us at the Virginia Living Museum. There are a couple more photos I'll grab off my phone and upload later. I hope everyone is doing great!
If you mapquest our new address to Busch Gardens, it will say 2.3 miles. Needless to say, we have been going quite a bit. We enjoy best going around dinner time when everyone is leaving, and in the dark all the lights come on so it looks pretty too. This is Spiderman when we still lived in Chesapeake. Saturday, our friends LG, Elisa & their little ones came with us. Here are the big boys. & here are the little boys who were born 2 days apart Can you find Joe & Robin in this one? My next post will be about our last move. I promise, Mom, to update with house pics and all the details of the area. If you want a quick overview of the community we're renting in, check out www.kingsmill.com.
I know, you're thinking I haven't blogged because we're in the middle of a move. Nope. Sparing the details, we didn't close on the house in Williamsburg, may lose lots of money and have been threatened to be sued. Had to cancel the movers who were coming the very next day and extend at our current hangout for an extra month. We're back to the drawing board. I'm practicing the Law of Attraction and asking for the perfect place for my family to move to. I hope you are all well. Keep smiling and thinking positive!! Here are some recent pics... Kyle & Robin at the Botanical Gardens Quick trip to Boston...someone looks mischievous. First time brave enough to go on Papa's lawnmower. Bodhi & Robin obviously chillin'. Robin pilots Papa & Abuela. First short haircut.
We will miss the Norfolk Zoo. It's not the biggest zoo, but plenty enough for a toddler. We headed there last week with our best bud, Kyle, to check out the animals. The boys were surprisingly obliging when I wanted to set them up for a butterfly photo. Reflection in the water globe If you zoom in, you might see Lisa trying to hike up Robin & Kyle inside the bubble. How funny is that prairie dog on top?! Here, I'll zoom in... We lucked out when Lola came to see us too. We're supposed to close on our new house in 18 days. It hasn't hit me that we're moving yet. I am looking forward to it, though. On bummer news, my little Robin has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. Luckily we have caught it early, but please check your kids and make them wear bug repellent. I know, I'm not into the chemical sprays and stuff, but supposedly it's safe in small doses and if it prevents this from happening again, it's worth it.
Okay, so it's been a long time since I've posted anything. In April, we went to Boston to visit family again. Don't feel like writing too much, but I'll try & caption each pic. This of course is me and my gorgeous niece, Priyanca. I think she likes me. Just wait, Priya, you & me will have lots of girl fun together throughout the years! A minute of quiet time with Abuela. Priyanca Robin & Big Papa Here you can kind of see the cake made for Jenn's birthday...and a cute shot of Abuela, Bodhi & Priya. Kelli, Heather & I had a great time when we met for tea & lunch on the Cape. Cooking in Auntie Becky's kitchen Uncle Aaron...always the jokester! Bodhi & Robin taking a break from adventuring in the back yard. "...and it's guy love..." -Scrubs Seriously, the boys have a great time playing, and hugs are plentiful when they haven't seen each other in a while. Well, now that we are moving to Williamsburg in a few weeks, we just had to run out and get our season passes to Busch Gardens & Water Country. Turns out, Robinson is just like me when it comes to rides and rollercoasters...wahoo! bring it on! Okay, okay, I have to wait a few years before he can accompany me on the big rides, but just watching his happy face on the kiddie rides is almost fun enough. Loves Elmo, cringes at Cookie Monster...I'll have to crop him out of this one later. Oh, and one more thing...a laughing video is always fun...
