A trip to the Children's Museum

A few things I did today

As most of you know, Robinson received the coolest gift before he was born...an alphabet book made by our friends and family. Well, whenever he gets to page "D" where there are tons of pictures of "D"addy, he lays his head down on the page. Yes, Joe you are obviously missed.

Today I also played in my house, which originally housed my new art desk that Aunt Jenn, Uncle Rish, and Bodhi got me for my birthday. Thanks, guys.
I pulled ornaments off the tree,
and took a bubble bath

I love my Dad because...

he helps me slide
he pushes me around in cars
he snuggles with me
he takes me to play on busy shopping days
he lets me play in the sink

The "dangers" of co-sleeping

I still pull Robinson into my bed at some point during the night. And although he has whacked me in the nose with his super heavy noggin a few times, last night takes the prize. Who likes a nosebleed at 5 am? Not me.
We've been in Virginia for about 5 months now. I think we have pretty much settled in. On the upside for Robin & I, we have met a few more friends :). We'll have had 3 playdates this week, and one that we couldn't go to...wow. Robinson is doing well, he is cruising and climbing like crazy. I can't believe he will be a year old next month, really, is that possible?
So, it was 75 degrees and sunny here yesterday. Where else would we go on a day like that? The zoo. Here is me, Robin and his new friend Leo.

Halloween

Happy Birthday, Aunt Lisa!!!!!!

After outgrowing the tub, now his new favorite thing is to climb in and out of it all day long.
Well, our first Halloween was not very eventful, especially when lacking trick-or-treaters to greet at the door. However, we strolled over to our community's "Halloweenie Roast" with our neighbors, Janelle, red power ranger and dog. We saw a lot of costumes and many scary things too. Robinson's whole body shook when he came face to face with a "Scream" mask. For a kid's party, it was too scary I think. It did get us out of the house though. Even though Robin was only allowed to chew on the wrappers, I surely made up for it over the past couple days that the candy has been sitting out. We also had no trick-or-treaters! Is that the norm now? Do most kids go to parties and functions and only houses they know? Just wondering. That also means I need to donate the left over candy fast before I finish it all.
