Hi Joe
Joe is away for a few weeks and we are heading to Florida on Wednesday. So, this will be my last blog for a little bit. Because of our trip, I've been fiddling with the ipod I got for Christmas. Robin likes it too. He holds the earphones to his ears to hear the Wiggles music. But even cuter and made me tear up was when he was scrolling through the photos (how I don't know) and he saw a pic of him & Joe. He said, "Dada", kissed the ipod and then held it to his chest. Joe, we miss you and love you and here are a bunch of pics if you need a pick-me-up...

Big Papa's visit
Couldn't resist posting this picture
R is kicking a ball with the best of 'em. Even though he seems so big sometimes, he looks so tiny next to Joe...and Joe's not huge either.
It's a little known fact that my son likes to eat lemons...
We tried to go to the zoo this day. I was bummed when the line was way too long. So we detoured to the "old school" playground next door...note the metal slide. On this day Robinson also got on Big Papa's good side when he looked straight at him, pointed, and said clear as a bell, "Papa!"
Big Papa trying to surf the net while Robin kept turning the computer on and off.

Robin & Big Papa were old pals by the time he left...and Robin did cry when Papa was leaving.
Thanks for coming to visit, Big Papa. We had so much fun. Thanks, too, for the Red Sox gear and toys!

Easter & a boat ride
Rewind to last year's attempt to celebrate Easter...

pathetic, right?

So this year things were much better even though he's still quite young. The rundown? He understood that he had to look for eggs and put them in a basket. I colored the eggs by myself (well he did drop them into the dye "crack"). There are a million plastic eggs in the house now and many toys. He had a little chocolate and half of a "peep". "Peeps" were my favorite Easter candy. So, when my Mom included them in Robin's Easter package, I knew it would be me to eat the rest of them. But wait, did they change the marshmallow recipe? I don't know what happened, but they just didn't taste the same, not sweet enough I guess. Here's a glimpse of this past week or so...
Crafting his own "basket" to get ready for the egg hunt at Birdie's play area.
Hunting for eggs on the mini golf course.
Robin & Leo snacking after all that hard work. He grabbed a banana and then dropped it when he saw the goldfish. Oh well.
Eleisha, Paul & Leo invited us out on their boat Saturday...fun fun!
Robin & Joe driving the boat.

Another Easter package. Thanks, Grammy!"Cheese"
How to share a smoothie so Robin doesn't hog it all? Two straws!
Getting ready to go to Trey & Griffin's house for the hunt and brunch.
Robin & Joe with Trey leading the charge.

Go, Dollar Store!
I went to Target yesterday to get Robinson his Easter goodies. I must have waited too long since all they had for baskets were these plush $10 ones, and picked through toy bins. How I left there still spending $38 is beyond me (well it was until I checked the receipt and realized it was because of Thomas! Man those miniscule trains are pricey). Anyway, today when I was at H&R Block, I noticed a Dollar General right next door. Not only did they have the classic Easter basket and plenty of plastic eggs, they had this chick which obviously was a big hit.

Red Sox hat
Well, the stomach virus hit us hard the past few days. Robin & I on Saturday night and Joe last night. So, while it was in the 70's today and our friends were playing at the park...we were not. So, just to get out, Robin and I checked the mail and took out the trash. How fun! When I put Joe's hat on him, I just had to get out the camera.
Cream cheese, anyone?
Waving hi and shifting at the same time

Peek-a-boo pre stomach flu
