friends, lounging, & cat nap

As I sit here and write, Robin is fiercely drooling all over a plastic cup. Good job, buddy. Those top two teeth are about to erupt any day now. This past Monday & Thursday, our friend Erica came by to visit. Erica, our world traveler, do-er of good was in town on business. Here's a pic of Joe, Robinson & Erica waiting at the Cheesecake factory. When do you not wait at a place like that?

Just a cute upside-down shot

Just now, when attempting to put Robin down for a nap, we were both surprised by a sleepy visitor. You can really tell the baby loves the camera because he stopped torturing the kitty to pose for the pic. Lex only looks scary because he is yawning.

Goodbye, Mr. Bouncy Seat

Well, we had many a good time with Mr. Bouncy Seat. Since Robin was born, he liked napping in the vibrating chair. When most things failed or when we wanted to make sure he got a good, long nap, that is where he slept. Well, Monday put an end to that one. He was laying on his belly on the floor when I went in to get him from his nap, with a cute, bewildered, "What just happened?" look on his face. Like a dummy, I put him in it for the 2nd time on Monday, and once again he scooted out. Ahh, Robin will miss you Mr. Chair, but mommy will miss you even more. (photo at 3 weeks old)

Is there anything better than a laughing baby?

Grammy needed a video of Robin laughing, so here it is...

"mommy & me"...a success

So, last Friday, Robinson and I went to our first "mommy & me" class at the Y. There was only one other mommy there and the class...well....stunk. There was a substitute and she had us doing many things that weren't baby friendly. At the end of class, the other mom said, "I don't know what that was," but said I shouldn't give up until I tried the regular instructor. So, off we went this morning and it ended up being a good class. I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow and Robin is now fast asleep.
Looking forward to the weekend with Daddy. I think we'll keep exploring our surrounding area. Joe gets home a lot earlier than his old job during the week, which is nice. Usually, when he gets home, I go off to a yoga class, run errands or something. It's nice having him around more. We'll miss him when he goes to his training. Well, that's it for now, let's see what else I can get done while the baby sleeps. :)

Two peas in a pod

On July 1st, our 7 year anniversary, we were lucky enough to have Connecticut friends stop by. Here is a picture of Robin with his 2 older buddies, Morgan and Colin.
