Summer Part One

Prepare yourself. There will be a lot of photos in these next couple posts to catch me up before school starts.  Since coming back from Cuba and before Joe's parents came to visit, this is what our summer has entailed...
4th of July on the levee

Reading class on Saturday morning

Lounging like Shadow...or as I recently changed his name to the New Orleans spelling: Shadeaux

Hanging out at our brand new library only a mile away!
It has rained almost every day here. No, I'm not talking about the typical rains for 15 minutes in the south then clears up. I'm talking thunderstorms galore!
We were able to squeeze in an hour or so at City Park before the rain hit this day.

With all the rain we have been getting, we deserve to see a cool double rainbow!
Adventure-mazing and accumulating arcade tickets

snuggling with Shadeaux some more

Batman & Robin. I couldn't resist.
We did not go see this movie, but every other movie
rated G & PG we have attended. Thanks again, rain.

Our frogs in the courtyard are SO noisy.

Making cucumber, cantaloupe and watermelon popsicles

Seeing a performance of The Emperor's New Clothes

"What?"

Seeing animals at the new library
My attempts at "eating clean" recipes

Boca Burger with tomatoes, hummus, spinach on whole wheat
Completing the Skylander collection

Eating corndogs at Blue Bayou waterpark in Baton Rouge. Ew.

Furniture shopping

What's up with the mudra?

Eating icecream

Playing with our food

Finally a lap cat

Library again. You run out of ideas when it rains every day.

trying a week pass at a local gym
