Catching up & Moving up

So, lots has been happening here at our house. First, we had an impromptu visit from our friends Stephanie & Quinn. Here is a photo of the boys when we still lived in CT.

Robin is actually hugging Quinn here although it looks like Quinn needs to come up for air.

For more photos of the boys, check out http://marshallbaby.blogspot.com/

Robin & Nevaeh at the zoo. We hadn't seen our old neighbor Vaeh in a while since they moved. The kids had fun catching up and running around...holding hands and then not wanting to hold hands. Good times.

Chocolate bunnies & other goodies have migrated their way here from New England for Easter. Thanks Papa & Abuela.
Thanks, Grammy for the cool rain boots in addition to all the candy.
House hunting has begun. Robin is enjoying running around inside & outside of the prospects. I think we're leaning toward Williamsburg, but we'll let you know when we know!

Let's not forget Joe's birthday. The cake was more for Robin, but they are 2 peas in a pod. I love my boys!

Photos of the boy

I realize it's been a while since I posted, so here are a few pictures of Robin. I know grandparents and aunties need to see how the little guy is growing. Also, Joe got orders to Yorktown, VA. We'll be moving this summer. Although there are people and places here that we'll miss, we do look forward to new adventures. It's only an hour up the road. I guess I don't need to change the name of the blog. Hope everyone is well!

been a while

The last time Joe was gone I had the luxury of family coming to visit.
Grammy was here.

Then Abuela & Papa came.

Then Dad came home & took Robin to the park in his uniform of course.

It was so warm here this Sunday all of us went to the park.

And now it's just R & I again doing things like mowing the lawn. It's 72 degrees in February. I miss New England, but the weather here is so much better.

We're waiting to here if we will be moving again this summer. I'll keep you posted. :)

Happy New Year!

December was pretty busy for us, like I'm sure it was for you. Although we didn't travel for Christmas this year, there were plenty of happenings here. First, Robin turned 2 on Dec. 11th.

Abuela & Big Papa came down to celebrate with us.
Unfortunately the stomach flu hit Robin that day and playing with grandparents was hindered quite a bit. Birthday party was cancelled as well.
Eventually, there were boughts of feeling up to play. Here's one.
And Joe & I actually were able to get a night out.
Luckily we were able to reschedule Robin's party. Here is the birthday boy...

The first present Robin opened was the Batman "Motorcycle"
Obviously it was a big hit...he's still on it after all the presents were open.
Hoping your holidays were special and happy! Best wishes for this new year.

update post

Seems I haven't had much time to blog lately, so here's a short update.
This first pic was taken last year at this time. Robinson will be turning 2 tomorrow and it's always fun to look back and see how different he was. How cute.

This was taken on Thanksgiving. We went to our friends' house...just the 4 of us adults and 2 kids. It was nice and low-key.
Joe & Robin with Darryl & Zoe.
Fun at the park.
The birthday season has begun. Grammy sent Robin a tricycle and some superheroes.
Batman & Superman went to bed with him last night.

Old friends...well, not that old

So, two friend updates. Our awesome friend Erica is here in Virginia for a Coast Guard Conference. I love that about the Coast Guard...that even though I am not "in it", I have still made friends who are "in it" and who get to cross my path for work. That's fun. Here are a couple pics from our visit on Sunday.

On another note, I miss my cat. I don't think of him every day. He ran off almost a year and a half ago now, but every time I walk through or near the woods by our house, I think of him. And for some reason, I call his name. "Lex." It's not loud and it's only once and I feel a little silly doing it, but I'd feel sillier if I did not. I think it's the not knowing what happened to him that bugs me the most. I miss that old friend.
