Aunt Lisa & Uncle Aaron visit

Head's up: Tons of photos in this post.
We were lucky to get more visitors in Virginia last week, my aunt Lisa & uncle Aaron. Even though we got some relaxing in, each day we got out and adventured.
Here is where I work:BodyBalance Studio, in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg. The yogurt shop upstairs is also to die for. Yum!
The gang enjoying the beautiful weather in CW.
For some reason this photo reminds me of my brother Justin when he was this age.

Day 3:Yorktown

He wanted a turn with that rifle so bad.
Day 4: Mini Golf and Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum
Me & my godmother

I knew this place was going to be weird before we went in. Here is Robin with an actual piece of the Berlin Wall.
Aaron & Robin next to a replica of the tallest man known, over 9 feet.
R was taken with this tiny car and watched the video on it a few times. Just like his Dad.
Day 5: Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus!
I think all four of us were looking forward to this and it did not disappoint.
It didn't hurt that I just read "Water for Elephants"
Any comic book geeks who know the story of how Batman took Robin in? Asking for trouble when R said, "Mom, I wish I could be an acrobat someday".

Joe turns 35 & Robin rides solo

Inflation Nation

Robin got Joe the Star Wars trilogy for his birthday. A big hit with both.
As usual, Robin calls the birthday cake shots. He insisted we had to make Joe's cake this year. It had to be vanilla and chocolate cake and frosting, and be decorated with the "Young Justice" theme. Oh boy. Luckily it doesn't take too much to please him. Marble cake with chocolate frosting inside and vanilla out. Printed images planted on top and voila.
We are back into posing for photos, not that he has ever been camera shy, mind you.
Busch Gardens is back open for the season.
And, sniff sniff, my son is tall enough to ride the Grover Coaster by himself! I insisted on going the first time with him and not shield his body like I normally do. This way I could get a sense on how much it would knock him around without me there. Yes, I'm pathetic.
And there he is, in the front row, taking off like the big boy he is.

Florida Trip

While Joe was away, R & I went to visit our family in Florida: My dad, brother and grandmother. It was a beautiful 80 degrees and sunny almost every day we were there. Nice!

We were able to visit Babci in her assisted living apartment. I was pleasantly surprised at how cute it is there. Nick, myself & R took her shopping and to lunch. Robin posing with his great grandmother aka Pra-Babci.

Gotta love grandparents

Hello, hello! We are still working things out with a house in New Orleans. We'll keep you posted when it goes through. This time of year there is a lot of change, I guess it mimics nature. We are so busy and will be right up until we move, probably end of May.

Luckily Joe's work trip got postponed a few days so he got to spend time with his parents when they came to visit. We took the Jamestown Ferry over to Surry. Cool for the kid to drive onto the ferry and be able to get out, and it's free!

Father and son.
Father and son and Abuela.
When Abuela & Big Papa left, we hit Inflation Nation for the Preschool's fundraiser.
Then, thankfully, we got a nice, long visit with Grammy. Two peas in a pod, these two. Yes, those are Nerf shooting goggles he insisted on wearing.
Hide-and-seeking in the tunnels in the neighborhood golf course.
Robin was a pro at milking more than a couple books at bedtime with Grammy. But I suppose that's what grandparents are for...breaking the rules, right? Although I don't remember that too much when I was growing up.
Next time I'll have pics from our trip to Florida to see my Dad & brother which is coming soon.
:)
